Grandaddy occurs as rock group from Modesto, California in the United States.
A band was formed within 1992 by singer/guitarist/keyboardist Jason Lytle, bassist Kevin Garcia, and drummer Aaron Burtch. Around 1995, guitarist Jim Fairchild & keyboardist Tim Dryden joined a band.
Musically, a band features each guitars in the indie rock style, and keyboards remindful of Philip Glass's minimalist style.
